Amy's Story

Six-year-old Amy came home from school one day and said, “Mommy, the boy I really like told me he didn’t like me anymore.  He hurt my feelings and made me cry.”

Who of us hasn’t felt the painful sting of rejection?  Maybe it came from a sibling we once felt close to, a neighbor, or even from our spouse who we have committed our very heart and life.  Hurtful words or an unexpected betrayal can quickly sour our deeply held emotions and give way to agonizing sorrow.  Heartache knows no boundaries and the same rejection little Amy experienced from this young boy touches us all at least once.  During these painful seasons, we might ask:  “Why me, Lord?”

When reading the Bible, God’s magnificent love letter to us all, we get a better understanding about heart-break and loss.  It also reveals His longing desire to meet all our needs; being compassionate toward our weaknesses and frailties.  Because we are born with a sinful nature, however, we are separated from a righteous and holy God.  “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” ~Romans 3:23

Here’s the Good News!  In God’s incredible love and mercy, He sent His Son Jesus into the world to pay the penalty for the sins of us all.  Jesus came to this earth as the spotless, sinless, perfect Man and sacrificed His life on the cross to satisfy God’s righteous demands.  He was then buried, but on the third day, God raised Him from the dead.  Jesus is now alive again and is seated in Heaven as the God of all Eternity.  When we put our faith in Him, we are given the assurance of everlasting life and He promises to stay with us and sustain us in all circumstances.  There is no greater hope for mankind!

If you have never done so before, you can accept Jesus as your Savior right now.  Admit to God that you are a sinner in need of His forgiveness and that you believe Jesus died for your sins.  He promises, “All who believe in Jesus will be saved.”  He then turns our soiled, human heart into a purified, cleansed one.  You can pray using words like these:

“Dear God, I admit I am a sinner and need your forgiveness.  Thank you for sending Jesus to suffer the punishment I deserve for my sins.  I believe Jesus is the Son of God. Thank You for Your gift of Eternal Life. Amen.”

~John 20:31

Our Beliefs

  • ONE GOD: We believe in the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
  • GOD the FATHER, an infinite, personal Spirit perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love, and that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men.
  • We believe He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ

  • We believe in Jesus Christ as being the only begotten Son of God, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, had a sinless life, was crucified, died, was resurrected, and now is seated at the right hand of God, and is God.
  •  We believe in His miracles and teachings.

Holy Spirit

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment, and who regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers for ministry all who believe in Christ.
  • The Holy Spirit is an abiding Helper, Teacher and Guide. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, Baptism in the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all Biblical gifts of the Spirit.

Salvation

  • Salvation is a free gift from God to man.  Man can never make up for his sin by self-improvement or good works.
  • Salvation comes only through believing in JESUS as the Son of God, His shed Blood, His work on the Cross, granting by Grace the Gift of Eternal Life in Heaven.
  • Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty.
